I think a wrongful-death suit is the most appropriate course in this case. The stupid law is what it is, so I figure the criminal case went about the way it ought to have. I do hope his gun permit was revoked.
I'm not sure what civil rights have to do with this; I haven't gotten deep into this case and don't know whether Zimmerman even thought he identified his 'suspect' as being any particular race (in the dark, in the rain, with a hood shading his face).
I have some sympathy for Frank Taaffe since hearing his story on Dr. Drew, but he kept arguing that Zimmerman was being maliciously prosecuted because nobody found any probable cause to arrest Zimmerman until the feds got called in. Where did he get that idea? The Paula Deen School Of Southern History? This probably wasn't the only case the feds had to review THAT WEEK.
